A Driving Instructor Course with Yorkshire Instructor Training College
The Yorkshire Instructor Training College in association with the Driver Training Centre is committed to providing excellent driving instructor training.
We provide you with all the relevant training required for you to become a driving instructor and be confident in your new career.
We also, upon qualification, either provide you with a position of work within our professionally run driving school, or assist you with working as an independent instructor or placing you with another driving school.
All your training is completed on a One to One basis – for premium results – meaning you dont share your valuable training times with other trainees (compared to most training establishments that cut corners, and increase their profit by sharing your time when you train).
One to one also helps to keep our qualification rate extremely high - currently 90% qualification rate – compared with the national instructor qualification rate of approximately 17%.
We are not just an instructor training company, but a long established driving school who trains driving instructors to an extremely high personal standard that suits our school.
Once you have gained the professional qualification as a driving instructor, DSA ADI (Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor) the career of a driving instructor offers you:
- flexibility of working days and hours
- independence
- job satisfaction
- constantly in demand
All your training will be conducted by an ORDIT registered driving instructor trainer.
Why train with an ORDIT Company? What does ORDIT mean?
You will be able to find numerous companies that will claim to be able to train you to become a driving instructor. Many companies will ‘hard sell’ and will hide under glossy tools, brochures and hard sell sales techniques to promote their training courses. Be wary if you are invited to one of their seminars or presentations, as you could easily be hard pressed to sign up there and then with all sorts of special offers and ‘discounts’ to encourage you to sign up on the spot.
Most of these organisations are purely profit orientated and many don’t actually have a driving school, to be able to offer the possibility of a trainee licence. Our only reason for training is to create highly skilled driving instructors who will be competent and confident in their work; as you will be working for our regional driving school, or a school associated nationally with us.
Therefore, you can be assured that you will be trained to the highest standard to continue our strong reputation that we have gained over the last 17 years.
In addition, when you train, take your examinations and qualify it is the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) that you are governed by and who conducts your qualifying examinations.
The DSA will advise you which companies to train at to become a driving instructor. These companies, like ourselves, are ORDIT Registered. They have been rigorously tested and inspected by the DSA to ensure the very high standards that are required for training are met correctly and in a satisfactory manner. The DSA will only advise you to train at an ORDIT registered company.
Check on www.dsa.gov.uk - click on instructors, then click ORDIT.
If you choose to train at a company that is not ORDIT registered you may run the risk of receiving inadequate or substandard training - which could reduce your chance of becoming qualified.
If you want to be confident that the training you receive will be of the highest standard choose a company that is ORDIT Registered.
The Yorkshire Driving Instructor Training College is OFFICIALLY Registered by the Driving Standards Agency
